Before I registered Lightward Bound as an official organization, I spent some time researching various United States organizations that already exist, to learn if any were already doing what this organization will be doing. I didn’t find many organizations that were even close to carrying out the mission that Lightward Bound has. What I did find, though, was that there are very many organizations that are working on good things to help people, communities, our nation, and the world. Each has a different focus and purpose, but many work to bring light in some form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many of these organizations work to care for the poor, defend those who are weak or unfairly treated, change societal trends for the better, etc. If you don’t currently donate time or money or in some way support any non-profit organization, please take some time to discover the vast array of organizations that are out there. I believe that if you really look into the organizations that are out there, you will find one that you can support, one that stirs some sort of passion in you to be a part of it. Though the many organizations are doing a lot of good, we really need even more of these efforts to drive out the darkness from our nation and fill it with light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I want to emphasize that I am only advocating those organizations where the central goals relate to light, which includes bringing good things to people and supporting them and doing other good things. They need to value truthfulness and integrity. Their methods should also be good for people. I specifically reject any organization that promotes violence, deception, manipulation, demeaning, and so on as a means to bring about their desired changes. Also, we need to let unity be a norm we seek in all things, including in the organizations we support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Below is a list of a few of the organizations that I discovered during my research. Just click on the name and it will take you to their website. Next week, I will provide a list of non-profit organizations that exist in Tooele County, Utah, the home and current focus of Lightward Bound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
