Lightward Bound is a not-for-profit organization that is intended to uplift the culture of the United States in order to enhance the lives of our people. In other words, we could say we are embarking on a nationwide mission in “the pursuit of happiness” for all Americans.
Mission
The purpose of Lightward Bound is to infuse light into American culture and support the light that is already present. To accomplish this, we research areas such as science, religion, history, culture, and communities to identify and understand light; we educate, persuade, inspire, guide, and train people to bring light into their spheres of influence; and we work with and coordinate people and organizations to build communities of light–all for the cause of brightening the lives of America’s people.
Vision
Lightward Bound leads efforts, in collaboration with other organizations and individuals, to build a culture full of light that drives out darkness from our lands–bringing the dawn of a bright, new future for the inhabitants of America and for all mankind.
As a result of this culture of light, people rarely cause intentional harm to each other, they live with hope and joy in their lives, and they have the resilience to endure and overcome the natural struggles of life.
This way of life continues on because each child in the United States is taught principles of light, starting from a young age. Children grow up with examples of light all around them and become adults who spread light wherever they go. Communities are built upon principles of light, with the ideals of caring, supporting, loving; honor, integrity, truthfulness; and peaceful community life as societal norms. Additionally, community members take on the responsibility to contribute to the well-being of their communities.
Underlying Values
Pro-Creator: Though not a religious organization, Lightward Bound acknowledges the existence of a Creator of all the good things of this earth, including its people. As such, we seek to honor our Creator as we strive to bring light into our nation and the world.
Pro-People: We affirm the worth and value of all human life, from conception to grave, regardless of any other circumstances, conditions, life choices, disabilities, moral beliefs, religion, practices, behaviors, identities, etc. This is the fundamental principle underlying our mission of bringing light into the lives of our people.
Pro-Religion: We encourage the personal efforts of all individuals to seek spiritual and religious sources of light in their lives. This is at least as important as any other pursuit in life.
