Lightward Bound is registered with the State of Utah as a sole proprietorship. That means that it is one individual (me) doing business as Lightward Bound. I operate it as a not-for-profit organization, so far, using my own resources to do everything from run the website to set up booths at public events. I have received small amounts of volunteer help for recent events, as well. But as an individual, alone, I will not be able to accomplish the mission of Lightward Bound.
To fully carry out the organization’s mission, it will take many people and finances beyond my own.
The long-term goal is to build the organization as a non-profit corporation and eventually have it receive 501(c)(3) status with IRS.
